App helps reunite pets, owners separated by Butte County wildfire


More than 200 pets are estimated to be missing after a wildfire in Butte County ignited, officials said.
Now, people are jumping in to try and help connect the pets with their owners.

Once on a list to be euthanized in parts of Butte County, five dogs now sit in Orangevale at the Mobile Vet Connection under the care of Dr. Jyl Rubin.
“We bathed them, trimmed their nails, cleaned their ears, gave them little sweaters,” she said.
The dogs, all of whom had medical conditions, got to the kennel on Sunday.
